CARLEY NEWS

The Carley Hall Pasta Supper/Silent Auction was a resounding success this year with both sittings sold out.  These events require a dedicated Board team who work for months ahead of time to collect donations, prepare pasta sauce, advertise the event, sell tickets and line up volunteers.  Congratulations to the Carley Board for their amazing efforts.  Thanks to the Oro-Medonte Horticultural Society.   Thanks to Carley Gill for getting the word out there on Facebook and to Hank Meyer for his work on our website.  Thanks to our new Community at Large members Andrew Yorke, Colette McCutcheon and Sue Pogue and to community members who helped work the event:  Karen Robbins, Pat Franklin, Marilyn Freisen, Bunny Patterson, Kelly Meyer, Rodney Gill, and Ian Webb.

The “country way” is alive and well at Carley Community Hall: people supporting one another, teamwork, giving back to community.  We hope you will come out and be a part of our dynamic volunteer team or simply attend our fundraising functions. It’s a great way to meet neighbors or make new friends.

The Hall is yours to rent for a minimal fee- a perfect location for reunions, weddings, showers, meetings, workshops, art classes and more.  Please put this lovely century building to use.

Carley Community Hall is located at 396 Warminster Sideroad between Line 8 and Line 9.  For bookings call the Township of Oro-Medonte at 705-487-2171 or email [email protected] for details.
